Minted
February 8, 2014
I have been using mint.com for just over a year and have found it a very useful way to track my finances. It allows you to easily keep track of any accounts such as credit cards, bank balances and loans. This is in addition to including investments and property. Tracking your spending habits from short to long term can be completed with just a click of a mouse . I find that this a particularly powerful and easy way to see where the money is going, and determining if you truly are being frugal. Other useful features include looking at trends, in income, assets, debts all providing a calculation of a hopefully increasing net worth.
I also really like the ability to generate a budget and goals, such as paying off credit debt (very rapidly I hope) or saving for retirement, and to see how you are doing with these. If you haven’t tried mint, I’ll suggest that it could well be worth a try.
(Please note: I use mint.com for my personal finance needs, and I have not been paid an endorsement for this piece of writing).
