Free Stuff – Free Fruit

I stumbled across this site in my search for free stuff (before you acquire stuff you should always ask if you need it, however free food is pretty easy to convince yourself about!)

This site, Failing Fruit is based on finding free fruits within your neighborhood. It looks like quite a lot of fun to try out, and where a world map is provided by this site in which you can type in your zip code and get local listings that enable you to go foraging for a free lunch! The whole thing is downloadable, open source and users can “explore, edit and add locations of their own” and their goal is to “unite the mapping efforts of foragers, foresters and freegans everywhere” , where they aim for a commendable effort of becoming the most comprehensive  map of urban edibles on the web.
